In the office like at home, when we work for many hours in front of the screen we can experience muscular tension. An ergonomic workstation promotes correct posture and is positively reflected on health.

For many people working on the screen, burning in the eyes, headaches, neck pain or tension in the shoulders and arms are common ailments. If the working tools used are not correctly arranged and our posture is incorrect, we need to unnecessarily stress the body. Let's make this not happen! With a few precautions, you can preserve health at work and increase your well-being.

By investing a few minutes of your time, you will create an ergonomic workstation that is perfectly adapted to your needs.

Position the table and the PC in such a way that the light comes from the side.

The screen placed in a line parallel to the edge of the table must be about 60 - 90 cm from you. Adjust the height of the computer so that the top edge of the screen is at least 10 cm below eye level.

The keyboard must be positioned directly in front of you and at a distance that allows you to place your forearms on the table. The mouse must be placed next to the keyboard. If you need to consult the documentation, arrange it between the keyboard and the screen. The ideal solution is to use a document holder.

The table must be adjusted to the height of the elbows. If the table height cannot be changed, you can adjust the height of the chair. In the latter case, make sure that the thighs rest completely on the seat of the chair and that the feet are in full contact with the floor. The angle created by the upper part of the body with the thighs should be above 90 °.

However, even if the workstation is perfectly ergonomic, remaining in the same position, however, the body is fatigued. During the day try to find some time to do some stretching exercises and, if possible, alternate more often the tasks to be performed on the screen with those of another type.
