Job interview

in #work2 years ago

So a few weeks ago I asked if anyone was a manager in order to gleam some info.

I wanted to know how much of the job was paperwork and meetings verses dealing with the workers.

My question was because my manager is finishing up at the end of the week and I’ve decided to apply for his job. In fact I have an interview in two hours time of writing this post.

I’ve been a team leader for about two years or so now and the reality is I’ve done very little of that role as I’ve been doing too much relief work filling in for riders who have gone on leave or got sick.

I feel the manager’s role would give me a much needed wind down and of course it’s going to pay slightly better as well.

Mostly I feel it’s actually going to give me the opportunity to fix some things that are big problems that my current manager hasn’t looked into for whatever reason. At least it would give me an idea as to why he hasn’t.

It’s going to be an interesting interview I feel. Apparently it’s going to last about two hours. Could be fun.

Shoot me before I get to that level please.

That wasn’t a movie, that was a documentary about my time at Datacom
