There is a right and wrong way to talk to people at
the work place. Everyone has a bad day, albeit in their personal lives or at work. The best thing to do is take a few minutes to breathe and not lash out on someone because of your personal feelings. Especially in a supervising position. Keeping calm and being mindful of your surroundings and words are best. If as a supervisor you need to discipline someone its always best to speak to them in private.
Just some words I wanted to share as there is a similar experience that went on in my work place in front of other people. It's embarrassing for both parties not to mention very unprofessional.
