No more 9 to 5 (Fired)

We all dream about quitting that shitty job we hate, well this kind of worked out in reverse for me but it's still feels good!

Well, I got the boot and it feels great! and I'm letting #steemit know first!

I had a good paying "job" that had its benefits but after seeing how much time it was taking away from me, it slowly more and more started to turn me off. The long commutes to different job sites, the traffic, in and out of the city, weekly meetings, and constant worry because of poor leadership, you are always left wondering...

I almost instantly felt relief while my manager was reading out the release (firing me). Although other thoughts were going through my mind about my finances, home, expenses and what not. But I felt it didn't bother me much or at all. Because I know ultimately things will work themselves out no matter what.

After what felt like being "locked up" for 4.5 years, I can honestly say I feel free for once and would like to take this opportunity to do something that makes me happy in life, instead of always catering or working for "The man" as some may call it. I'm done working for slimey corporates that simply don't care about your well being, you're nothing more than a number in their system.

I will be reflecting on what I want to do in life, but one thing is for sure is that I will never work for a large corporation EVER again. I will still go to work but not for those big guys.

I hope you enjoyed my first little rant/blog. I am currently looking for new work now that I'm unemployed. I am aiming to work from home and possibly start a small business of my own in the coming weeks/months. If anyone reading this has any suggestions please drop them in the comments^^
