If you are a man and you don't have any of the above women in your life then this message is not for you.

There is a reason we say “Òrìṣà bí ìyá kò sí” (There is no Òrìṣà like a mother”) in Yorubaland.

No one dropped from the sky! Every person alive today lived inside a woman for about 9 months rent free, with free food and security. Most people are breastfed for up to two years by a woman.

So when the Yoruba say “Òrìṣà bí ìyá kò sí”, they know what they are talking about.

Women are worthy of respect, adoration and praise because they gave us life, they gave birth to us, they nourished us, they trained and educated us and gave us our first language.

Ọṣẹ-Oturupọn says…

"The elephant rove for several years but was not hit by the javelin.

The buffalo wandered for many months and did not slip into a ditch.

It is only a person who fails to appreciate human beings and that is not well learned that would say a woman is socially insignificant.

It is from heaven that Ọ̀ṣun, was bedecked with gold and silver. Anyone who respects her will be blessed with wealth, spouse, children and long life.

Therefore, do not abuse women because of their gender."[1]

Note:
Ọ̀ṣun is an Òrìṣà (deity) of the Yoruba people of southwestern Nigeria. Ọ̀ṣun is commonly called the river Òrìṣà, or goddess, in the Yoruba tradition and is typically associated with water, purity, fertility, love, and sensuality.
