I put a new seed node online to help provide more stability to the Steem blockchain.
The node can be found at seed.usesteem.com:2001
and has been submitted to the default seed node list.
The server is located in Canada and is a Quad Xeon 32GB Ram and Raid SSD.

Question for you @themarkymark - I'm still new to the server setup with the Steemit.com website and the Steem blockchain. Could you elaborate on what is causing the issues with us being able to access our Wallet transactions from steemit.com/@username/transfers? Is this a blockchain server bandwidth issue.. or a steemit.com web hosting issue?
Thanks for your answer in advance!
EDIT: I noticed that after you posted this that I can see my wallet transactions again. Perhaps coincidence.. or maybe it's due to your server addition. Thanks for all you do either way.
There is a move to AppBase the new API for Steem, this should help scaling the network but it looks like they are using production to test, which means you will find things to be unstable. The wallet has been buggy for a while, showing duplicate transactions, out of order transactions, memos linked to the wrong transaction, and other things. In the end, it's just beta.
There is a lot of money (monopoly or otherwise) on the platform for this to be so haphazard though.
Thanks for the answer. That was my other assumption - that there was testing going on. Great to hear that they're making an effort to prepare for scaling. And I agree, could use a bit more stability lol. Appreciate your time as always!
Hi @themarkymark
Thank you for this seed node.
Though we have enough seed nodes but not enough supporting JUSSI Full Node. Most of condensers (including https://Yehey.org) depends on api.steemit.com the only RPC node that support JUSSI. If this goes down like today, all condensers sites are not accessible.
I hope your next project is to bring UP a Full Node that will support JUSSI.
In this way, we don't depend on a single rpc node which is the api.steemit.com.
Cheers.
If Jussi was ready and I wasn't so low of a witness, I'd think about it but as it is I already manage 4 more full nodes than most top 20 witnesses.
Thank you... Lord knows we need a few more nodes, this shit is stupid atm.
On an unrelated topic, I'd like to grab your attention and let you know that @trafalgar is currently 98.6% self upvoting. That's right.
Details here:
https://steemit.com/flagawhale/@idikuci/call-me-admiral-ahab
I'm not after an upvote, but rather I'm after your attention. I know your very active already fighting spammers and maybe you can't put any more on your plate, but this is a scam pure and simple, and would greatly benefit from being in your line of sight.
The general consensus is you are free to do what you want with your own stake.
A great political answer. Tells me facts without offering your opinion. Understood.
Thanks for reading my rant above anyway, and thanks for doing your blacklist and other things you do with buildawhale. Appreciate your time.
It's not political, it's basically what people have decided on Steemit. I didn't upvote myself for the first 4-5 months I got here, now it's apparent it's perfectly fine.
I have written my opinion quite detailed here:
https://steemit.com/steemit/@themarkymark/4mzmcj-the-reality-of-self-voting-and-steemit
I have seen moved to caring less about self-voting and more about quality.
we are making progress, thank you for giving us better tools for the good functioning of the platform, without you it would not be possible, it is good to maintain a good rhythm of informative publications, so we can know how many things work and helps us to have confidence in the platform and the witnesses that not everyone knows, thanks for the information, happy afternoon. Forgive my mistakes in English, I use the translator
This is a good news. Technology is developing day by day.
Interesante información.
Gracias por compartir @themarkymark.
Éxitos y más.
