Agreed, comments alone mean nothing, there's no doubt about that. But I try to go beyond cheesy lines when helping someone understand the basics of PALnet. I also delegate over half of my SP to other MSP projects, and I try to help in any way that I can if it helps someone get their project running. I don't expect anything in return, but I hope that a few people will pay-it-forward when the time comes and help a new person they run across.
