It was a good intro. Could have been better if you had written more about yourself.. I usually go and read the links that are dropped on my comment section of a post that is totally unrelated to the post itself.
But i would advise you to never do that again on someone else's post.. it will get you flagged..
The better way is to first make a good comment regarding the post and then make a request to author to check out your post (with link).
It is common courtesy and many people here take it rather seriously..
