Give Fernando a Vote!

in #witnesslast year (edited)

Some of you must have a spare witness slot surely? My lowest-ranking witness sits at a lowly #91. Do you know what any of those other witnesses encompassing @fernandosoder does?

I have heard of some of them notably @whiterosecoffee, who is Mr Coffee himself, aka @c0ff33a who ranks higher up at #45, as well as one notable dead witness close by, not literally!

Why should I even mention this Brazilian coder who ranks so low?

...'the STEEM Witness list. Looks a bit shit compared to the PeakD, doesn't it?'...

If you are an old hand like me, then you will remember STEEM and more notably SteemWorld. Look at the #2 witness on STEEM, it's none other than @steemchiller himself, the creator.

While @fernandosoder did not create STEEMWorld or HIVEWorld, he managed to port across https://hivetasks.com/, a utility I use daily and keeps it going for us all.

Sometimes it's down, but Fernando looks after it and makes sure it's working again. It was a damn shame that @steemchiller stayed on STEEM, but at least copies of his work still exist and work on HIVE.

Give him a vote, it costs you NOTHING; he deserves a higher rating than #91.

...50% of the rewards of this post will go to @fernandosoder. I appreciate you keeping this going mate, thank you....

Thank you for promoting my profile, but if you want, I have a second witness called @perfilbrasil which is aimed at promoting Portuguese and Brazilian content, so most of its profits is automatically distributed among delegators in a 10 minute basis calculated by weekly curation plus a small bonus based on how many blocks I'm signing. You can check the Delegators payment here.

About Hivetasks, since SteemWorld used to do most calculations in the front-end using Javascript, I just downloaded said Javascript and adapted to Hive when another guy who had already done the same decided to shutdown his own mid 2020. At first was for my own use only, so I installed it in a $7 server(single processing core + 1GB RAM), where it is still today but then more people started to use as I was not the only one who couldn't live without that dApp.

Interesting. Just after the STEEM divorce I got handed an offline version of STEEM World apparently bodged by @pfunk. It did the job for a while and then I noticed HiveTasks. I think the community should show you a little more support, it likely costs you more than $7 now to keep it going.

Indeed. Specially with a few headaches I have sometimes.

I'll have a look tomorrow when I'm on the other computer. Thanks, chops 😍

I'm all for giving the little guys something, especially for great tools like this.

agree - always good to get recommendations, too.

that witness is disabled?

Yes, not sure what's going on with him. It wasn't at the time of posting.

Hope he's okay. I tidied up my witness votes anyway 😍

Just voted, forgot all about HiveTasks. Great tool.

For us oldies who were brought up as babies on STEEM World, you can't get any closer than this.

I always have all 30 witness votes in use but have a bad habit of set and forget witness voting. Suggestions like this remind me to take a look again. It seems that whenever I do, there’s always one who hasn’t updated the price feed for months.

I check mine infrequently and boot dormant ones when they appear. Something to do infrequently.

I gave him a vote! He's already up higher than 91!

Yes, we moved him a few notches 😀

I love Hive tasks. Fernando has my vote!

Supported, I wish Fernando all the best in getting the support he needs.

That's so funny.. After I launched my witness I got curious about what the Steem witness list was looking like so I went over there and had a look. Friggin Steemchiller. lol. I can't even with that guy. But I really did miss SteemWorld for a long time, I have to admit.

I'm already voting for @c0ff33a's witness, but I will throw @fernandosoder a vote as well. I need to remove a previous vote though. I am sure one of my top 20 votes won't be missed. Those guys aren't going anywhere.
