Since last release we already have Bandwidth saver feature, go to Settings page and disable Image fetching. It won't load images automatically within post when you open any post and you can manually load image by tapping on placeholder, which should save a lot of traffic. Let me know if it works...

But still, I suggest you to consider to add an option to compress picture when we create a post. Because most pictures in smartphone are HD. 😁
