Proverbs 22:1 A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.
While I was reading the scripture to extract wisdom I got reminded of this passage of the Bible above.
No matter how odd it may sound or look, a good name is better than any other things, and the Bible also made it clear that it is ev en better than riches and any other costly material things.
I completely agreed with this verse of the Bible when I remember the story of Mason Greenwood a young talented footballer who played for Manchester United in England. His carer was going well for him until the moment he was accused of rape and molestation by his fiancee.
That accusation tarnished his image for good and destroyed all that he had built and the good name he has made for himself, his football career has gone down to zero because he has lost his reputation. That is what a bad name can do for you even money could not save him at this moment.
Wisdom ingredients
A Good name is better than riches, always protect it.
Do not compromise money for your reputation, it is never worth it.
Be careful with the steps you makes in life so that they don't come back later to destroy your good name.
