My goal with this post is to show you how cold it is here in my neighborhood.
Where I grew up in southeast Texas
Those of you that know me know I grew up in a much warmer climate. Snow is a wonderful dream where I grew up in Texas. When it happens about every six years they get less than an inch. Schools shut down and people take off work to build tiny snowmen. Seriously, great memories. Now you know why I can't snow ski.
When Steemit builds big enough I plan to come and visit where some of you live and travel in warmer climates.
Phone photos of neighborhood
I took the photos in this post with my Galaxy phone. I use the Canon Rebel for the photography classes that require me to go outside every week and take photographs. We are learning the depth of field.
The only way to learn is to do my homework and get the photos developed and show up in class. It is worth it I will be ready for spring and more fun with photography.
I am not complaining flowers love spring water.
Spring is coming a little more than a month from now. When gardening, flowers, butterflies, and neighbors come outside.
Here is the photo icicyles under the door. This blew my mind and I had to show you.
For those of you who have not heard of him
Punxsutawney Phil the groundhog came out of his den and saw his shadow which means he predicts another six weeks of winter.
Thank you so much for reading my post.

Wow...it gives me shivers while watching these pictures.....we hardly see snow here in Lahore. Yes, if you go to northern areas; you will see plenty of it. And it looks perfect with mountains. Beauty at its peak !!
Wow, you live in such a beautiful place in the world. I have traveled to western India but never crossed over and went as far as you are. I did live in a mountainous place before in the states called Colorado. Thanks so much for your comments. I appreciate you taking your time.
We've had no snow to speak of this winter and I really would like some.
The icicles under the door? You need a draught-excluder to stop that :)
thanks... I forgot I used to have one an Max my terrier tore it up. I will get a heavy duty one and then train him not to wrestle it.
Or make one and video it - or at least photograph it and then put that post in my Saturday make-orbake thing :) (That I haven't done this week)...
okay...roll a towel up and photograph..lol
I am going to post something else..lol I did not know you have that ..so hard to keep up with everything...this sounds FUN yay ...
Wonderful! :)
Also, try an old blanket rather than a towel ;)
Glad we don't get that much snow. We did get 6 inches on Christmas eve, and that was it for the winter - just rains and rains. Looks very cold I would need more sweaters.
This is an unusually snowing year they say. Hey thanks for taking time to comment. :)
wow dear the white colour of snow gives an amazing aesthetic to the place
yes it is beautiful
this is so cool not that cold in South Africa
blows my mind ... I am in farmland, the heartland of America and we get many immigrants here. I think they are afraid what they face their first winter. You can get used to it as long as you dress very warm.
I actually prefer the cold weather we get as low as -5 degrees here not as cold as over there but i get so miserable in summer... I guess I might be able to survive in such cold
it gets hot in the summer here... we get way cold but it does not last.. I will complain about the summer too lol
lol... our winter starts late April here so we are in Summer now and im away in Port Elizabeth for work related which is by the coast so im loving the sea breez I posted pictures of it please check it and upvote
