Great post @minion ! Dont get me started on why windows is terrible..

Everyone who is looking for an alternative should consider QubesOS. I've been using it personally for my main daily driver for a few months now and while there is a steep initial learning curve its 100% worth the effort.

Ive only seen one other steemian using qubes so far, if theres interest i could do a post with more detail..

    Unfortunately, other OS'es are great, I know that, but the support is lacking, majority of the applications are Windows/ OSx and sometimes even linux to some extent, for other OS to "enter the mass" would take a lot time for games/software to support that architecture.

    I have an untrusted windows 10 box for gaming only, literally everything else happens inside qubesos.. I have windows, osx and multiple flavours of linux as templates so i can run anything :)
