We also get a lot of snakes in the basement during cold weather! :D

But that's okay, because this area used to be a big field, and after they built the houses next door and behind this house, the mice infestations are awful every year.

Snakes in the basement eat the mice in the basement, and Cosmo and Nova utterly destroy the mice upstairs. I'm excited to see how well Comet does with hunting mice! (My husband rescued him as a kitten in February.) Apollo isn't exactly sure what to do with mice. And Tuxie? Our eighteen year old intact male? He runs from mice. They scare him.

Go figure...

It's no wonder the alpha cat in our house is a passive inbred ragdoll....
