I am having trouble understanding exactly what you are trying to say here. Are you really advocating violence rather than open debate and well reasoned discussion?

It is my own view that we should be able to disagree without fear of personal attack. I fail to see what relevance 'holding hands and singing....' has in this conversation.

Maybe they included it because it is a reflection of the fucked up world we live in. They certainly did not include it because they want people to behave in petty and destructive ways which can only damage the overall reputation of the platform.
But they do want us deal with the misuse of these functions without appealing to authority.
