Ready for the Revolution

Hello Steemit community!
I am a resource specialist and circular economist; I have a strong desire to facilitate broad social inclusion into the global marketplace all the while eliminating the concept and mismanagement of 'waste.'
My former life was as a paramedic where I spent years witnessing tragedy and tribulation, I will say I really like working with resources now instead of injured souls. I am on a whole new journey now trying to fix the world views and manages 'waste.'
Today, waste and poverty are both externalities of our currently utilized linear economic model where resources are extracted, manufactured, then purposely disposed of in the name of corporate profits. Consumer goods are created to be trash in order to sustain mass volume production and continued sales. The circular economy is a paradigm shift from what we have known and how we have managed 'waste.'
Add blockchain technology to the evolving circular economy and we have an amazing economic system where people and services are accessible by all, for a purpose, and for an agreeable price. Instead of buying products designed to be trash or built with planned obsolescence, consumers will purchase a product as a service. The manufacturers have the direct incentive to make better products that are not harmful to people or the environment, and they are created to last. Reputations will matter, business practice will matter, transparency will be demanded, and no longer will corporations be able to manipulate the system given that in a blockchain, the consensus and network are the system.
I look forward to reading all about this community, its members, and how we are collectively changing business as normal via a decentralized system. recycle sign.jpg
