Day four: BEHOLD the power of the vegetable

It's day four "steem team" I hope you have been contemplating how you will organize and personalize your food logs while practicing keeping good records.

Today, I want to enoucage you to include plenty of vegetables. There's a link to an article for you to read from prevention magazine detailing the power of vegetables. Here, however, I will give you four reasons why vegetables should be eaten at every meal.

  1. they contain essential nutrients that provide energy and fuel to maintain healthy cellular functions
  2. they provide fiber which keeps aids in colon health ultimately supporting the immune system
  3. they lower inflammation the source of disease (or the precuser to disease there's some argument here)
  4. they help prevent lifestyle diseases cancer, diabetes, heart disease just to name the top three

My job is to EMPOWER you to stay on YOUR path. Perhaps you've chosen to follow a pre-prescribed diet either from your physician or from the millions of books, DVDs, CDs, blogs, local programs that are readily available. Record the directives from your prescribed diet it's that simple!

Wether you're on a prescribed plan or following your own intuition plan, I'm encouraging you today to embrace the vegetable! I've discovered their magic years and years ago.
