I thought I would put this out there, because it is so close to my heart. Most people think of malnourished as "skin & bone" - skinny, and the lack of food. This also leads to people believing the rubbish we are fed is healthy and nourishing.
Here below, are two malnourished people. I bet you are shaking your head, thinking she's full of it. BTW, 5 years ago, I would have agreed with you, so I do understand. Allow me to explain.
How about this 11 year old boy, malnourished?
What does the word malnourished mean?
Straight from the dictionary "Malnutrition is a serious condition that occurs when a person's diet doesn't contain the right amount of nutrients. It means "poor nutrition" and can refer to: undernourished – not getting enough nutrients."
This means that it does not matter what your weight is, you could be malnourished.
These pictures were taken late 2014, and we were not just obese, but sick in many ways. Most ailments are symptoms of vitamin and mineral deficiency. Bet you never knew that, neither did I. Then you get "diseases" that are caused by over consuming specific foods, these are the so called HEALTHY foods that also lack nutrition.
So, we are told to get our fiber rich foods in like whole grains and other starches. No doubt they are high in fiber, but why are we pushed to eat so much of? The damned if you do and damned if you don't cycle comes into play here and we just get sicker and sicker. While whole grains are rich in fiber, they don't really offer much more than that, but on the down side they do more harm than that amount of fiber will ever help you. Now, stay with me here and hear me out, because this is where people run for the hills. Grains contain a protein called gluten, YES I'm talking about gluten, it is a real thing.
What gluten does is it breaks the tight junctions in the gut wall. This is how bacteria, gluten, toxins and food particles end up in our bloodstream. What the gluten also does in the bloodstream is cause your blood to be acidic. The body needs to correct this because it is life threatening. So how does your body eliminate the acid in your blood? Here's a whopper for you, it pulls out the collagen and calcium from our bones to neutralize the acid. Can you see where I'm going with this? The tiny picture below is us as a family Dec 2015. For me this is a picture of pain, just a month earlier I fractured my L4 vertebra, and found out I had borderline osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a bone disease that occurs when the body loses too much bone, makes too little bone, or both. As a result, bones become weak and may break from a fall or, in serious cases, from sneezing or minor bumps. Osteoporosis means “porous bone.” Can you see how it is connected? What builds our bones and keep them healthy? Collagen & Calcium! Over the years I have fractured my ribs, broken fingers and toes, and too much to mention. This explains why, and I thought I was just very unlucky.
We CAN NOT digest wheat and grains, we were never supposed to eat so much of it. It sits in the gut and causes damage to our gut flora, gut wall and digestive enzymes. It causes the gut acids to become alkaline, lowering our own gut acids to the point where no food is digested any more. This causes acid reflux, yes it is lack of acid to properly digest food. So throw away those anti-acids please.
Now for the sugary bit of these grains. Grains are extremely high in carbohydrates, and these carbs are turned into glucose by the liver. Therefore, carbs = sugar. Bet you no one ever told you that either. So we consume loads of the grains, spike the blood sugar levels and wonder why we are slow, sick and fragile.

So that's the grains, what about the other starchy veggies like potatoes? While potatoes and rice and corn do not contain gluten, they do contain proteins that acts like gluten. The research has not been done yet, and probably never will, but the evidence is out there that they too cause more harm than good. Again these are extremely high in carbs, and again I refer to my video.
Ok so that was the side effects from these high fiber foods, now to get back to the issue of malnourished.
While we are consuming so much fiber to have regular bowl movements, we are doing more damage than good. The gut is unable to absorb any nutrition these grains and starchy foods has to offer, because it is in a state of distress. Take them away and use leafy green veggies which are packed with vitamins and minerals, they are also relatively high in fiber. With these veggies your gut is supported, the gut acids work like they should and the nutrition from properly digested food can now nourish the body. They are also lower in carbs, therefore no high blood sugar levels.
While the gut is in distress, the gut wall is leaking and your blood sugar levels are high, all kinds of health issues and diseases appear out of nowhere! Right? I know you got it, NO not out of nowhere, we end up with gut problems, gaining weight, bloatedness, or aches and pains to start with, which no one knows whats wrong. These are signs that something is not right.
It stands to reason then that if you are unable to absorb nutrients, not consuming nutrient dense foods and causing the body to pull our nutrients from the body, that you can be obese and malnourished at the same time.
Now for the good news, I won't leave you on a negative note ;)
YES, it can be corrected, reversed and stopped in its tracks, by cutting out these so called "healthy foods". After we started cutting out these rubbish foods marked as "Healthy", we regained our health & vitality. Most of our diseases and health issues cleared up. I am pain free and able to do the things I always wanted to. See picture below.
