It almost feels like I'm watching your documentary, and please please please don't say it is one...no mother has to go through that horrible descent.

Not exactly. But fairly close. My mom has dementia BUT I am lucky enough to still have her.
I'm sort of relieved, but I shouldn't be, to hear that. I ask my mom a lot of questions about things that happen in the past few days to screen her for dementia, though I'm pretty sure that's not what professionals do.
Actually, They do a lot of tests but that is one - they ask her questions. They tell her 3 words to remember, continue to ask questions (weather, day, week, year, etc.) and then they ask her what the three words she was supposed to remember (she can never remember). They also have done writing tests, and things of that sort. They do recommend mind games like word searches or something of the sort - anything to keep their mind going.
Thanks for tip, I will SUBTLY try them on my mom~Too obvious, she will get annoyed, like a cat
So true. Mom's the same way. She hates going and getting asked the questions because it's frustrating for her that she can't remember. Good idea to do it quietly haha! Like a cat!
