If the "Government" gave $.02 about protecting people, explain tobacco and alcohol etc. Marijuana was outlawed by capitalist looking to capitalize on their inventions such as fibers aka paper and clothing. We know now what happened then but nothing has changed, private prisons and Big Pharma would loose their shirts if Marijuana was made legal today. So the saga continues.
