Wedding Album Series 3

Hello everyone again... I'll share today one of my most good looking bribes for 2016...

And yes, its not photoshop... it was realtime... But how do we shoot the moon? And why it was so close?

Look at the Cover of the album and see the date...

Its in the end of August, and moon on august is so close and big on earth (on my location of course) Why not take advantage of it an snap an impressive photo... First of all you need a a 70-200mm lens... Maybe even longer... Using a teleconverter or something... yeah yeah you might lose some quality but who cares? Its already 20mpixel raw sample.. If anyone tells you different he is just a gadget freak and nothing more.
The couple stayed as still as it could... I used the led from the videographer ti light a little bit the gap betweend their necks.... so i could separate the sillouetes...

Next. you need a slow shutter speed to catch the details o the moon... oh and dont forget...! moon moves too... dont take too long... ;)

I used a monopod to make sure i nail the photo in sharpness... yea yea... why not a tripod etc etc... Its a wedding guys... these shots cant take an eternity to snap them... The guest are waiting in the party room for the bride and groom... and my time frame is limited...

See how good the silloutes are seperating the couple? If the led wasnt there we would just see someting black with no interest...

I dont have the family shots included... cause sadly the groom has no parents and the bribe no father.
Good friends can cheer you up in these moments...

I was out of ideas on where to shoot the rings.... i played with the shadows and the sun... Not my best ring shot, but it did the job...

Some solo sots of the bride before and after the wedding dress... Sofia is a breathaking woman almost 180cm tall
(hint: the groom is was a pro basketball player :) )

Tall people when sitting next to other family members or friends... and their height difference is very noticable...You just tell them to go one step behind.. Hug a little the guy in from on them... turn their shoulders towards the shorter person and bend a little in from to the photographer.

This is a tradition thats happening in Greek weddings.. the best man comes in the brides house and tries to see if the bridal shoes are good for the bride... And guess what... they are usually tooo big... and he has to put money inside... to make the shoe smaller... so that the bride can wear them... And of course the money goes to the bribes maids-friends.

I had a second shooter here... to capture all this moments... i really love lively and big smile moments...

I like to use black and white pages in the album... You remove the color distraction and you are allowed to observe the photos better...

The light coming down the heads of the couple is fake i just added a lightleak layer to spicy the photo alittle bit...
Now that i am posting... I dont know if it was correct or not...

No flash, just crank up the iso.. let the backround burn a little bit... you can fix some highlights and shadows back in the post...

Wedding party.... The couple decided to put one page in the album only... Most of the dances and other shoots... i had a remote flash and a person carrying the flash 180 degrees against me.. and hiding behind the objects or persons that i am shooting...front light has from a led light... I like good led lightining... with high CRI (color rendering index) the higher the % of the CRI the better the color throw of the led light is.

The rest of the album pages are shoots from a next day photoshooting... We usually dont have much time to shoot in between the ceremony and the party... So we arrange another day for photoshooting... No extreme make up, no big preparations...
Natural looking groom and bride... more refreshed less stress free... And look the result... Smiles, eyes fresh with no tired facial expressions...

Most of the photos are remotely flash lightened... with a yellow jell on top of the flash... (when the weather is cloudy... you have to create somehow a little bit of natural sun light)

I guess i ll put a link on from the ebay flash gels i am putting on a comment down the post...

I think next time i will upload a numbers of nextday posts... Its been the trend the last years.. and people started paying attention on the next day photoshootings instead of the actuall wedding day...

99.5 % of the instagram wedding posts from couples are from the next day....
