This whole Covid-19 lockdown has had some not really unusual ripple effects, such as @johneyreacko and I both losing our jobs in Hospitality back in March this year (2020). Due to this we are, we have very little options open to us.
Thankfully, my mother has offered us a place to stay while we figure out how to re-skill. The only problem with this for me is that she lives ~200 miles away in Nevada. Since we don't jobs and were not planning a move so soon, we don't have the funds to hire a moving company to assist us, so we are going at it alone.
There are two things that make it harder for me -- the current weather and my wrists. Currently, it is 109F/43C at 11am. Our high is supposed to be 115F/46C and our low is at 90F/32C.
This is highly unsuitable weather for moving!! :(
As for my wrists, I have a degenerative disease called Kienbock's and it is occurring in both of my wrists!! I am currently diagnosed with Stage 3B in my left (non-dominate thank goodness!!) and undiagnosed in my right wrist (but symptoms are identical to my left wrist).
Kienböck’s disease, is a rare, debilitating condition that can lead to chronic pain and dysfunction. It happens when one of the eight small carpal bones in the wrist, the lunate bone, becomes damaged because there is no blood supply. It is also known as avascular necrosis of the lunate or osteonecrosis of the lunate.
