I am feeling sorry for your situations and yes sometimes natural calamities can hurt us to deepest level and after natural calamities we firstly face the issues of basic needs and sometimes most of the people face the lack of basic resources after any natural calamities, and i really like how your friend helped you regarding generator and in my opinion this is the real test of humanity when we all come together to help each other even if we don't know them.
