7 Kingdoms of the Clumsy Knights.jpg

  • Seven Legendary Kingdoms of the Clumsy Knights WAX NFT

  1. The Kingdom of Clumsalon
  2. The Terrifying Valley of Gloomfen
  3. The Kingdom of Perfectia
  4. The Frozen Valley of IcingSnow
  5. The Kingdom of DragonSwolf
  6. The Kingdom of Avaloth (destroyed by Sorcerer Lord Dragonis and his Sorcerer Knights)
  7. The Kingdom of Orchington (destroyed by Sorcerer Lord Dragonis and his Sorcerer Knights)

Each kingdom covers approximately 350 square miles (land and water combined). Travel distances between the five surviving kingdoms are roughly 35–60 days by horseback and on foot, assuming regular rest stops, nightly camping, and a normal travel pace. These distances vary significantly depending on which kingdoms are being measured.
For example, the Frozen Valley of IcingSnow is the furthest from the Kingdom of Clumsalon. The same is true for the Terrifying Valley of Gloomfen. In order for either of these valleys to travel anywhere near Clumsalon, they must pass through the Kingdom of Perfectia.
The two closest kingdoms are Avaloth and Orchington. Directly above them lies the Kingdom of DragonSwolf—a place once considered nothing more than a bedtime story told to children to make them behave and go to sleep without fuss. The travel distance between the neighboring kingdoms of Avaloth and Orchington is a mere few days away from stepping foot into either realm.
The Kingdom of Clumsalon is nestled deep within a thick, verdant forest. Towering stone mountains encircle the woodland on all sides, beyond a shimmering freshwater lake fed by small rivers that flow to and from the kingdom itself.
This isolation is a key feature of Clumsalon: it is notoriously difficult to locate unless you possess the precise level of clumsiness required to tumble your way through the trees, stumble past hidden paths, crash through the castle gates, smash into everything in sight, and generally announce your arrival in the most chaotic manner possible.

Sorcerer Lord Dragonis of the Kingdom of DragonSwolf was out searching for the Young Red Knight of Orchington. He had heard whispers in the wind about a true heir to the Kingdom of Orchington, which Lord Dragonis and his Sorcerer Knights had destroyed. This child posed a real threat to the Lord and his kingdom. A true heir with royal blood could attract many followers to help rebuild the fallen kingdom. As Sorcerer Lord Dragonis was scouting the lands near the castle ruins, he spotted something in the forest: a silvery shine, so bright it became blinding—especially when the sun hit it at the right angle. Lo and behold, two knights popped out of the forest, approximately 100 meters from the Lord. Seconds later, another knight in very shiny armor popped out right behind the first two. The Lord somewhat panicked, as he had not expected anybody to be around these parts. It was the legendary Sir Toppleberry, Lady Banglethud, and right behind them was the new member of the Order of the Backwards Plume, Sir Victor the Knighting, on his first mission to investigate what had happened to the two destroyed kingdoms and who was responsible. They were to report back to the King of Clumsalon as soon as possible. Sorcerer Lord Dragonis was by himself. With his power and unique enchantments, he required no assistance at all from his Sorcerer Knights. At least, that was what he thought. He had never met a Clumsy Knight before, though he had heard stories about them defeating foes simply by accidentally sneezing or tripping over their own feet and falling headfirst into the ground. The Clumsy Knights noticed this sorcerer with glowing red eyes waving his hands in the air. Then, all of a sudden, a Dragontooth encompassed in grey and black smoke appeared and moved toward the Clumsy Knights. Without flinching, Sir Toppleberry—with his head down—started to charge the beast. Lady Banglethud was right behind, a little irritated that Sir Toppleberry hadn't waited for her. She caught up rather quickly—but a little too quickly—because her feet got tangled with Sir Toppleberry's. With such great speed and momentum, both tripped and launched themselves right onto the Dragontooth, knocking out the majestic beast for a short period of time. Sir Victor the Knighting watched in amazement from a distance, seeing the Clumsy Knights do their Clumsy thing. For the first time in Sorcerer Lord Dragonis's history, he retreated. The Lord entered a weakened state when he summoned the fierce Dragontooth and did not have the strength to finish off these pesky knights of unintended clumsiness—who had saved the day once again. The Clumsy Knights now had the evidence of who was responsible for destroying both kingdoms, Avaloth and Orchington.

  • The Journey back to the Kingdom of Clumsalon

After Sir Toppleberry and Lady Banglethud had clumsily (and narrowly) defeated the evil Sorcerer Lord Dragonis of the Kingdom of DragonSwolf, their companion—the newest member of the Order of the Backwards Plume—Sir Victor the Knighting proposed they take a shortcut. By venturing further north-east through a narrow passage he remembered from childhood, they could then head south, pass right by the Kingdom of Perfectia, and soon arrive at the Kingdom of Clumsalon.
Sir Toppleberry thought it was a splendid idea, so off they went, heading north-east.
During their travels back home to Clumsalon, Lady Banglethud asked, “Where are we, and where exactly are we going? The fog is so thick here, the trees are enormous and dense, and every time the wind passes through, it sounds like whispers.”
Then the Clumsy Knights came to a place known as the Whispering Crossroads. Sir Toppleberry let out a quiet yell: “The Terrifying Valley of Gloomfen!” He turned and looked at Sir Victor the Knighting with awe.
Now the Clumsy Knights found themselves in a predicament: they could neither turn back nor simply stand there in stunned silence. Lady Banglethud quietly hoped they wouldn’t run into a Black Knight of Gloomfen.
As they ventured deeper into the red, lava-streaked land, they spotted a Black Knight in the distance, pacing back and forth as though patrolling the area. The atmosphere in the Valley of Gloomfen was thick with fog and mist. Sir Toppleberry whispered to his companions to circle around the other way and avoid conflict. “The King ordered us to return as soon as possible with knowledge of what happened to those two destroyed kingdoms,” he reminded them.
As Lady Banglethud turned to sneak away from the Black Knight’s path, he spotted them—some 200 metres distant—and began walking toward the Clumsy Knights… but in a strangely calm manner. This caught Sir Toppleberry and Sir Victor completely off guard. Usually these terrifying Black Knights charged with all their might and fury. This time, something felt different.
The Black Knight approached and requested an audience with their leader. He was the Black Knight of Gloomfen himself. He claimed he wished to befriend the knights, explaining that their feud had been a terrible misunderstanding. Sir Toppleberry glanced at Lady Banglethud and Sir Victor, then shrugged. “Why not, right?”
With great enthusiasm, Sir Toppleberry slapped the Black Knight on the back and extended his hand for a shake. The Black Knight, visibly holding back his annoyance, accepted the handshake. He then asked if he might visit the Kingdom of Clumsalon, having heard wonderful things about it.
This made Lady Banglethud and Sir Victor deeply suspicious of the knight’s true intentions. Sir Toppleberry, however, thought it was a marvelous idea. Lady Banglethud stared at him, bewildered that he would allow an enemy inside their kingdom.
The Black Knight remained stoic on the outside, but inside he was cackling: These fools are going to lead me straight to the gates… and probably trip over the drawbridge for me.
“Sir Toppleberry is far too clever a knight to let this play out,” Sir Victor whispered silently to himself.
And so the Clumsy Knights, along with their new… um… friend? the Black Knight, continued on toward the Kingdom of Perfectia—the only path that would eventually lead them to Clumsalon.
Several days before they would reach Perfectia, Sir Toppleberry gave Lady Banglethud a knowing wink. She understood exactly what to do.
That night, after everyone had fallen asleep around the campfire, Lady Banglethud silently woke Sir Victor, covering his mouth just in case he squealed. Together they quickly and quietly tied rope around the Black Knight’s ankles. For good measure, they placed several bananas—from their food provisions—at his feet. Then the Clumsy Knights slipped away from camp to watch from a safe distance.
A couple of hours later, the Black Knight stirred and tried to stand. He immediately crashed back down, outraged yet livid, sliding wildly across the ground and straight into the campfire. He couldn’t believe it—how had these ridiculous Clumsy Knights foiled his grand plan for conquest and ruined his chance to please Lord Malice?
The Clumsy Knights finished the humiliation by pelting him with bananas and banana peels as he struggled to rise. Each time he managed to stand, he slid right back down—this time farther away from them. Seizing the moment, the knights fled into the Kingdom of Perfectia.
Eventually the Black Knight regained his footing, stunned that these bumbling knights had bested a mighty Black Knight of Gloomfen. Muttering darkly, he retreated into the dense forest, back to his Valley of Gloomfen, vowing aloud that one day he would discover the heart of the Kingdom of Clumsalon and conquer it.
The Clumsy Knights passed safely through the Kingdom of Perfectia and finally arrived at the gates of Clumsalon’s castle. Sir Victor quickly glanced behind them, half-expecting to see the Black Knight following at a distance. Sir Toppleberry calmly reassured him: “Only those pure of heart and naturally clumsy can ever find the Kingdom of Clumsalon—yes, that kingdom. The one with the lopsided castle, the Order of the Backwards Plume… that wonderfully Clumsy Kingdom.”

After their encounter with the evil Sorcerer Lord Dragonis of the Castle with No Name in the Kingdom of DragonSwolf—and that interesting run-in with the Black Knight of Gloomfen—Sir Toppleberry, Lady Banglethud, and Sir Victor the Knighting met the Order of the Backwards Plume and the King in the Clumsy Knights' Hall, where the Order conducts business.
Before Sir Toppleberry could even open his mouth, he wanted to be sure that his clumsy thinking cap and ears had actually heard rumbling whispers of a mysterious red child knight who might be the King’s son—and the next heir to Orchington.
Lady Banglethud couldn’t hold it in any longer. “Just tell the King what you thought you heard, Sir Toppleberry!” Sir Victor quickly added that he, too, had heard whispers in the winds while they were fighting off the Dragontooth summoned by Lord Dragonis.
So Sir Toppleberry spilled the beans: “We all encountered the evil Lord Dragonis at the site where Castle Avaloth fell. And we swore we heard something about a child dressed in red knight armour who could be the heir to the throne of Orchington—the King’s son.” Clumsalon’s King practically fell off his royal throne when he heard this news. (Falling off the throne is, of course, a perfectly normal Clumsiness practice.)
From the shadows of the royal hall appeared a dark-cloaked figure. At the same moment, Sir Toppleberry—quick on his feet—drew his sword as the mysterious figure drew closer to the King. The king swiftly intervened. “Sir Toppleberry, put away the long banana—and tell me, where on earth did you put your sword?” Sir Toppleberry looked down at his hands and saw… a banana, not his sword. Lady Banglethud couldn’t keep a straight face. “And that,” she said with a giggle, “is why Sir Toppleberry not only founded the Order of the Backwards Plume—he’s the head of it too. You cannot get more clumsy than that!”
“Sir Toppleberry,” the King continued, “this is Bumbethorp the Wizard, the author of the Storybooks which have come to life. He is my long-lost brother. He was once known as Sir Bumbethorp the Tripping, the storybook author and teacher, about two decades ago—before he went missing. He is also the one responsible for summoning the ancient Kingdom of DragonSwolf and the evil Sorcerer Lord Dragonis. Because of him, our Kingdom of Clumsalon remains unseen by evil and wizardry. He has made amends, and now he sits by my side as an advisor and protector. What he did cannot be undone—so we must all move forward.”
Sir Toppleberry, amazed by this revelation, bowed his head to the King and accepted the news with true Clumsiness. Lady Banglethud and Sir Victor quickly followed suit. Sir Victor, however, bowed a little too close to the floor and ended up tripping over his own two feet, face-planting right on top of Sir Yokel, who was also in attendance.
Bumbethorp the Wizard explained that the whispers in the wind heard by the Clumsy Knights at Avaloth were a deceptive Sorcerer’s trick, meant to help Lord Dragonis uncover the whereabouts of the red child knight of Orchington. By disrupting Lord Dragonis’s sorcery, the knights had angered him—which explained why he quickly summoned his fierce Dragontooth.
“Oh, by the way,” Bumbethorp added, “how did you fare against that Dragontooth?”
Before Sir Toppleberry the Unsteady could say a word, Sir Victor’s hand shot up as if they were in a classroom. “Permission to speak?” he yelped, then launched into the tale of how Sir Toppleberry and Lady Banglethud had defeated the foe with pure, unintended Clumsiness—causing Lord Dragonis to vanish quickly into the thick forests.
This news somewhat angered Bumbethorp the Wizard. He knew Lord Dragonis and his Sorcerers were responsible for destroying Castle Avaloth and Orchington… and he felt somewhat responsible himself. He quickly advised the King that the Clumsy Knights must locate the Red Child Knight of Orchington and bring him to Clumsalon for safety.
And with that—a new chapter was born: The Search for the Young Knight of Orchington.

  • The Guardian as seen in the Story Books WAX NFT

In the ancient DragonSwolf Castle, nobody dares utter its name in word or thought, for fear of summoning the majestic, fang-like beast of mystery that guards it. This shadow beast is portrayed exactly as it appears in children's storybooks circulated throughout the Realms to help little ones drift off to sleep at night. The books feature a drawing of the majestic creature circling the castle, which perches high on a mountain peak. In the remarkably accurate illustration, the beast appears two to three times larger than the castle itself—perhaps drawn this way to avoid underestimating its power, or simply to ignite children's imaginations.
The author's name has been omitted from these children's books. The King called upon Sir Yokel the Youngster to select a sidekick and lead the quest to discover who this author was, whether they are still alive, and to report back as soon as possible. A storybook once told to children has come to life. Sir Yokel chose Dame Clattercrash as his sidekick for the search, since these books have been passed down for several decades. How did the author know about this fairy tale turned reality? Was this author the very person who inscribed the ancient magic runes on the castle's dungeon walls and ceilings, as depicted in such great detail in the book? What else within the pages of this children's tale might be real? Even in the storybooks, there's no mention of the castle's true name. Could the author—a wizard or sorcerer—be responsible for those ancient magical runes?
If anyone can uncover the truth, it's Sir Yokel the Youngster; he'll simply sneeze his way to it if need be. With Dame Clattercrash at his side—her name says it all—this command from their King of Clumsalon promises to be an interesting adventure.

  • Chapter Two

Sir Yokel the Youngster is the clumsy star of this bumbling adventure. Perhaps the King should rethink that “Youngster” title and simply rename him Sir Yokel the Sneezing—because every time he gets close to uncovering a clue in his investigations, he erupts into an uncontrollable sneezing fit. When this happens, there are usually two possible outcomes:

  • He sneezes so violently that he trips over his own feet and lands squarely on the very culprit he’s been hunting, or
  • He sneezes so hard that he locks arms and legs with his sidekick, sending them both tumbling in a rolling, roller-coaster heap right back to the starting point of the investigation.

Let’s hope—for Sir Yokel’s sake and his sidekick’s—that the first outcome is what awaits them in this Clumsiness Adventure to locate the mysterious storybook author who kept their name hidden from the children’s tale that has now come to life. Sir Yokel the Youngster—scratch that, Sir Yokel the Sneezing—and his trusty, accident-prone sidekick Dame Clattercrash set off into the villages of the kingdom on the King’s orders. Both knights, proud members of the legendary Order of the Backwards Plume, embarked on a fact-finding mission. They visited the towns’ bars, pubs, and blacksmiths, outside the Castle gates within the common people, where the Clumsy Knights’ specially crafted (and often comically oversized) weapons are forged.
For a moment, Sir Yokel felt a sneeze brewing as he spotted a shadowy figure lurking in a narrow laneway that branched off one of the ale-serving pubs. Then, without warning, he unleashed an earth-shaking sneeze that caught Dame Clattercrash completely off guard. The force sent her spinning into a whirlwind of clumsiness straight toward the shadowy figure.
The figure tried to bolt in the opposite direction, but Dame Clattercrash—in full, unintentional hot pursuit—crashed right into them. Both tumbled to the ground in a heap, with Dame Clattercrash landing squarely on top.
Sir Yokel the Sneezing rushed forward to question the mysterious stranger. His nose is almost never wrong—there was definitely something shadowy and suspicious about this person.
As Sir Yokel began the King-ordered interview, Dame Clattercrash whipped out the children’s storybook and thrust it right into the stranger’s face. The figure flinched, eyes wide, and tried to scramble away—only for a thick, dark, shadowy cloud to swirl up around them. In an instant, the stranger vanished into thin air.
The two knights raced back to the castle and reported immediately to the Order of the Backwards Plume. They summoned the King for an urgent audience to discuss their findings about the mysterious storybook author.
The conclusion was clear: the author of the storybook was indeed a wizard—one who commands the shadows. The way he conjured that thick mist of dark clouds and vanished mirrors almost exactly what is written in the storybooks about the summoning and appearance of the ancient guardian of DragonSwolf Castle.
What secrets does this shadow-wielding wizard hold? And will Sir Yokel’s next sneeze finally land him (literally) on the answers? The adventure grows ever clumsier… and ever more intriguing!

The Guardian — as depicted in the storybooks by that mysterious unknown author — was believed to be a wizard capable of casting powerful rune magic.
“Why would he write storybooks about something that’s actually real?” Sir Yokel the Younger muttered, thinking out loud. Dame Clattercrash, not realizing it was just a private mumble, cheerfully answered anyway:
“Perhaps because he used to be part of the Kingdom of Clumsalon?… but got kicked out for not being clumsy enough?”
That wild theory snapped Sir Yokel’s full attention. Both knights immediately turned and hurried back toward the main castle gates of Clumsalon to investigate this dark-robed figure further — and to dig into Dame Clattercrash’s gloriously ridiculous hypothesis.
Their next stop: the Clumsalon Library. Deep in the dusty castle archives they discovered the truth. There had once been a Clumsy Knight of legendary clumsiness who served as teacher and storybook author for the children of Clumsalon. His name, according to the records?
Bumblethorp the Tripping. The name hit Sir Yokel like a poorly aimed custard pie. It sounded… eerily familiar.
The two Clumsy Knights raced back to report their findings to the King and the entire Order. When the King heard “Bumblethorp the Tripping,” his jaw dropped. He sat frozen for a long moment before whispering:
“That… that was my lost brother. Our castle’s beloved teacher from twenty years ago.”
Dame Clattercrash was so stunned she nearly tripped over her own armored feet. Sir Yokel, overcome with emotion (and possibly allergies), couldn’t hold it in — he unleashed a monstrous, kingdom-shaking sneeze. A spectacular spray of water, crumbs, and whatever else he’d been snacking on doused the entire Order of the Backwards Plume… including the King.
Mystery solved. Sort of. Still dripping, the King composed himself with royal dignity and declared: “Sir Yokel, gather a band of our finest Clumsy Knights. You will track down my brother — the former Bumblethorp the Tripping, now apparently masquerading as the Mysterious Dark-Robed Wizard — and deliver him this letter.” He pressed a parchment into Sir Yokel’s hands, sealed with the King’s own ridiculously wobbly Clumsy Crest.
And so the pursuit continued: No longer chasing a shadowy enigma, but instead hunting down the King’s long-lost, storybook-writing, probably-still-very-clumsy brother.
Adventures or embarrassment either way it's to be continued...

  • Tracking Down the Dark-Robed Wizard with the King's Message WAX NFT

Sir Yokel the Younger quickly chose Dame Clattercrash as a sidekick in locating the King's brother. He also asked Sir Puddleglum to join them in their quest to locate the not-so-mysterious storybook author. Sir Yokel would have asked both Sir Flailwild and Sir Ouchington to assist in this quest, but they had already been sent off on a secret, tight-lipped training mission by the King. Sir Yokel finished off his warm milk after a brief resting period, and all three were off to the wilderness in hopes they would locate Sir Bumblethorp — rrr, I mean the Dark-Robed Wizard.
The path took Sir Yokel and company west, past a few rivers, which led to a larger body of water, and through thickened forests. Several days later, they began to head northwest, towards the two destroyed kingdoms, Avaloth and Orchington. Sir Yokel thought the King's brother would make haste back to the Kingdom of DragonSwolf. Though purely an assumption, the newfound evidence from the Clumsalon library pointed in that direction. Sir Puddleglum and Dame Clattercrash agreed, so they continued on their journey to that evil kingdom, once thought to be a fairy tale.
From a distance, the three clumsy knights saw a strange glowing figure about 300 metres away from where they had set up camp for the night.
"Wait," said Sir Yokel, "that ain't a figure — that is shiny knight's armour with the bright moon reflecting off it!"
Sir Puddleglum told the other two to stay put so he could investigate. Upon closer inspection, it was Sir Thundersnack the Kitchen Raider of the Perfechian Guard of Shearmelstrom inside the Kingdom of Perfectia. Sir Puddleglum woke him up, as he was snoring up a nightmare.
"What-what-where-who? Oh, it's you, Sir Puddleglum," replied Sir Thundersnack. "Hey, Puddleglum buddy, do you happen to have any snacks on you? I am famished."
Sir Puddleglum looked at him and invited him to the Clumsy Knights' overnight camp. Sir Thundersnack, apparently, was on a hunger-strike mission ordered by his King, just so that Perfectia could restock the food stores without Sir Thundersnack depleting them even faster. Sir Yokel explained everything to Sir Thundersnack, and he agreed to join the Clumsy Knights' search party for the King's brother.
The quiet night passed. All up at first dawn, breakfast at hand (Sir Thundersnack having more than a few extras just to keep him quiet about food), and all four set off to the evil Kingdom of DragonSwolf, as mapped and clearly illustrated within the storybook Sir Yokel had with him.
"If the Lord Dragonis is real, then his castle and its location must be real," mumbled Sir Yokel as they headed north.
They passed both destroyed kingdoms of Avaloth and Orchington, and continued further north right to exactly where the storybook map led them.
"We are here," said Sir Yokel. Sir Puddleglum responded with, "Where is here?"
Dame Clattercrash looked at Sir Puddleglum with agreement. Sir Thundersnack didn't care where he was; he just wanted to eat something. All four knights were searching for clues and a way up into the castle, which could be seen far, far up in the mountain peaks, surrounded with black mist and fog. Sir Yokel kept repeating the storybook title over and over again: "Tales of the Clumsy Knights & the Seven Legendary Kingdoms". All of a sudden, a mysterious dark-robed figure appeared out of thin air. It was the King's brother. He was somewhat annoyed and angry that the knights had come anywhere near this dreadful place of evil.
Sir Yokel quickly called him by his real name while handing him the letter from the King:
"Sir Bumblethorp the Tripping, this letter is from the King, your brother."
The dark-cloaked figure quickly took the letter in hand and vanished into thin air. While this was happening, all four knights had a weird feeling that they should leave this kingdom with haste.
All four set out once again, quickly travelling south back to familiar lands, where they would make camp before heading back to the Kingdom of Clumsalon with their guest, Sir Thundersnack the Kitchen Raider.

The Clumsy Knights—Sir Yokel, Dame Clattercrash, and Sir Puddleglum—returned to the lopsided castle of Clumsalon with their guest, Sir Thundersnack of Perfectia. Upon entering the royal hall to report to the Order of the Backwards Plume, their usual chaos was, for once, briefly tempered by protocol. True to form, however, Sir Thundersnack silently broke ranks and made a beeline for the kitchen—only to be gently but firmly deterred from a full-scale raid by the ever-vigilant royal guards. A generous snack was quickly provided, allowing the notorious Kitchen Raider to rejoin the group, though he left a generous trail of crumbs in his wake.
Sir Yokel began the report, describing how the Dark-Robed Wizard had accepted the King’s sealed letter before vanishing into a swirl of black mist. The wizard had also delivered a chilling warning: the knights should leave his kingdom at once. Dame Clattercrash pointed out that such a threat almost certainly meant danger was coming—perhaps connected to the shadow-commanding powers they had witnessed earlier. This mysterious figure, later revealed as a sorcerer who could bend darkness itself, had already demonstrated his skill by disappearing in a coiling cloud of shadow during their first encounter.
As the knights finished their account—with Sir Thundersnack helpfully interjecting colorful, food-themed commentary—a dark, shadowy figure materialized in the center of the royal hall. It was the King’s long-lost brother. He confirmed that he had received both the letter and the invitation, and had come in person to accept it through this suitably dramatic spectral arrival. Recognizing the sensitivity of the matter, the King promptly dismissed all the Clumsy Knights from the hall for a private audience. Their exit was, as always, gloriously unceremonious—filled with Sir Thundersnack’s continued munching and the familiar symphony of clanking armor echoing down the crooked corridors.
Later, Sir Yokel, Dame Clattercrash, and Sir Puddleglum welcomed Bumbethorp the Wizard back with open arms, though they had several pressing questions. Why had he mastered such powerful ancient rune magic? And how exactly had a mere storybook come to life?
Bumbethorp explained that he had secretly studied forbidden rune magic in the Clumsalon Grand Library—without the King’s knowledge—in order to protect the kingdom from conquest. After years of research, he devised a spell that cloaked Clumsalon, making it visible only to those pure of heart and inherently clumsy. Anyone else could find it only if escorted by a Clumsy Knight.
He then revealed the fateful night: after reading a storybook to the children of Clumsalon, he had fallen asleep while unconsciously reciting the ancient runes. This subconscious ritual, repeated night after night for months, had inadvertently summoned the evil Lord Dragonis and his hidden castle. The strange runes carved throughout the underbelly of Clumsalon were the lingering traces of that endless, unintended incantation.
Believing he had brought terrible danger upon his beloved kingdom, Bumbethorp chose to live in the shadows—quietly watching over his people and keeping an eye on their enemies. As long as no one ever reveals the path to Clumsalon to Lord Dragonis and his sorcerers, he said, the kingdom will remain hidden and safe… for another thousand years.
