Yeah, but I can be earning whilst having my morning crap :) With the price the way it is rewards will not be worth much, but if people stick around it could improve. I had posts worth $200 back in the day. Some still make that much, but you need the right audience.

Honestly, I need any kind of audience. People nowadays rarely actually care on the Hive blockchain.
Mostly when they see their own benefit.
For example Splinterlands card giveaways.
I often receive more than 10 comments under those kind of posts, while the rest of my posts usually do not even receive comments (or only a very few).
And I see the same (or at least something very similar) with most other people's posts too.
There are a few exceptions.
Usually with higher amounts of Hive power.
But the people do not actually care in that case either.
They only pretend to care.
So the actual interest in content consuming is generally very low on this platform.
And because of this, recently I started to write mostly for myself.
This way I will not become (more) disappointed in this platform.
Honestly, currently it lacks real content consumers.
Most people are mostly only posting.
I always say that you cannot generalise about people and their intentions. Others will have a very different experience and it's not just down to your stake. Do whatever works for you.
Many people left the platform in the previous years because of the earlier mentioned fact. Most people on the Hive blockchain do not have different experience.
It is enough to make a quick look on the people's posts in general.
Also many people have even worse experience, and they still post.
For me, nowadays mostly only the physical things are working. Personal relationships, friendships, small jobs.
