It depend on how you see it. If you value your work, nothing prevent you for rewarding yourself. Abuse is a subjective thing.
You are free to vote yourself, but then the rest of the community gets to decide if you deserve it. Of course you could try to avoid that with proxies, but people look out for that too. I gave up self-votes years ago as I made far more from what others gave me, so I can support others with my votes and still earn from curation.
Exactly! It's even less rewarding.
