This makes me laugh (in a cynical way), b/c the state "fined" the oil refinery that for years has always gone over pollution limits& they never do anything about it. Part of that "fine" was they had to buy electric lawnmowers for their property...

Is it beans compared to the oil refinery that is allowed to do what it wants? No.
The state is doing the same thing, like they're not gonna use gas engines to mow the capitol lawn, cool, but maybe stop giving so many oil and gas permits? More effective, don'tcha think?? We are a sunny and windy state and yet we have one of the dirtiest energy grids because the state is in the pocket of oil and gas. So they do token stuff like this so it can seem like they're helping climate change. 😮💨

It's not a law for private citizens, it's just that state entities can't use them, so like, parks and rec.
