I don't think that's a gender thing. A lot of people like both (me too), and what determines what kind of pet you have is circumstances. I've only known dog people who said they didn't like cats, which makes me not trust them. Cats have boundaries, and will tell you so; if you don't like that then you don't respect boundaries. ;)
