It’s joyful and that’s the idea. The singer was especially good, powerful voice and he walked the audience serenading us all with stories of love, celebration etc - my limited understanding of Spanish!!!
There is a local Mexican restaurant near me that occasionally has a mariarchi night and the musicians walk between tables serenading diners. I've been a few times and loved it.

It was fantastic, it was followed up by the history of the Mayans which was entrancing, hypnotic and very very well done. Dance and lots of interesting instrumental sounds.
The entertainment comes ln big way when the artiste performance perfectly, a great time ln the show
