They are not sacred like in India š®š³. It was more like a joke but this is the why:
In Cuba, beef consumption is restricted due to government regulations protecting cattle. Killing a cow without authorization can lead to severe penalties, as the government prioritizes dairy production over meat. This policy stems from historical events like the nationalization of land after the Cuban Revolution and the impact of Hurricane Flora in 1963, which reduced cattle numbers. While beef is available in some tourist locations, it remains scarce for most Cuban citizens.
Nowadays, itās more open. You can find it in some markets. I guess Things are changing for the cows š
Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me. I didnāt know that at all. Our government is trying to do the same but because of the carbon, so due to environmental reasons and people donāt like it a bit. Where we live, very rural, there are mostly cattle farmers here so for them it would be a disaster. It was one of the reasons there were riots in Brussels a year ago
You mean before the time people began to farm? I know what you mean and I follow your idea on that take completely. But it isnāt that there will be no cows or less cows. They will move in farming buildings of 2 floors, thatās all.
We have the best soil here to grow in Europe and everything is grown in greenhouses (we donāt see stars here anymore because the sky is pink during the night hours). It is not about less energy spending, itās about making more money. They tell the world Europe is so rich and we supply children food at schools because parents canāt afford it anymore..
I would probably be too⦠only that cows are sacred in Cuba šØšŗš³
Ok I didnāt know that ⦠may I ask the question: why? I feel really stupid here right now
