Those statues cost $1,000 a piece when they first came out and they were scattered all over Rhode Island. Used to be a game Tourist could play to find them. Little by little they were decommissioned sold to individual people. Many of them were destroyed.

The birthplace of Mr Potato Head should be celebrated! I'm old enough to remember playing with real potatoes! It was definitely more creative
