Most boost requests on posts that show effort get approved. When Ecency voting power is low curators must be more selective with boosts, and often choose to approve 150 Point requests on posts published from Ecency. When there is more VP curators can be more generous. Voting power is affected by the price of Hive, so low Hive prices means less generous Ecency votes.
