Sometimes after heavy rain, scorpions could be found walking in the front yard. This was a small scorpion. The biggest one I encountered was about 12 inches long! Wait till you see the giant centipede!

Walk carefully at night!

Better to wear shoes after a heavy rain, scorpions don't play when something is standing on their way.

Yup! Flip flops wouldn’t be very helpful! Scorpions are very defensive!

Nasty creatures! So glad we don't have them here in Wisconsin!

Lucky you! We have all kinds of poisonous creepy crawlies and various snakes.

We don't have any poisonous snakes here. It's a pretty safe place to live, I guess! 😁

Wow
That's big and kinda scary.
You have to be extremely careful.

They are big enough to be spotted with some light. Luckily the whole family didn’t come marching together as in the past.

Glad everyone is safe.

If this would appear Infront of me I will scream so loud that all homies will get up. 😆

Screaming will frighten the scorpions and upset them even more. It’s better to stay away and let them pass by quietly. Then you should avoid snakes in my garden!

Yak!!! 😮

Oh! This is a baby one! The grandpa was longer than my foot! With big tall tail and stings!

😳 are they poisonous or ?

Oh! Yes! The sting is very painful indeed! Big ones’ sting could be lethal! In the past my father’s gardener disturbed scorpion nest unintentionally. His feet were stung by several tiny baby scorpions which he thought were black ants! I had to tell him to get out fast. He was complaining of the sharp pain by small stings!

I do have lots of respect from these scorpions; they are very protective towards their babies. The adult would march in a row with aggressive postures showing their tails high up while their babies marched behind them. Incredible.

It looks scary, be careful and safe out there.

Thank you. Very careful and watchful too.

I will be careful as well, thank you.

I do see them a lot over here, though they are not as big as the ones above.
