Thank you everyone who commented on the yummy oatcakes: they are very easy to make; oats, hot water, oil (or butter), salt and baking soda - with added cumin and turmeric. Mix together and roll out about 3mm thick, then shape into flat biscuits (either by hand or by using a beaker to cut out circles). Bake 20 mins or so in a medium oven, til golden brown. Nutritious snack - super tasty with cheese and chutney or butter and jam.
