In Germany metro and especially DB (train) is always late and they would never wait for you.
Ohh , but our side metro train is running an interval of two to five minutes only. So no issue if one is gone 😊.
Depending on the area and the day, you have to wait 1 hour or 30 minutes. Weekdays they come every 10 or 15 minutes, especially at rush hours.
Hopefully you traveled pleasantly. It's good to let them wait sometimes
