I must admit that I haven’t tried it myself yet (I keep remembering that right after I hit the “publish” button), but as far as I know, yes, that’s the only thing you need to do.

I did it and I got a comment from commentrewarder that I am rewarding zero comments, even as I got comments from people on the post.
