...I just checked out the article - dude that is awesome! I've never used that, but there have been many times I wanted to place a video within a post, and found it somewhat frustrating that I had to first post the video with 3S, then link it into the article. ...I didn't want to publish it as a stand-alone video, but I assumed that was my only recourse. Seriously, that's happened probably ten times over the last few years!

Glad you can use it! It is slightly different in a browser, but the icon is pretty much the same.

That makes sense; 3S isn't much different. The upload/encode process takes a minute, so it sounds like it's just a matter of choosing whether the video should standalone, or be a subsuming part of an article. I'm really stoked to utilize this...I'm going to be consciously looking for my next opportunity to do so!
Ecency use 3speak when uploading videos, so it is the exact same thing, I guess.
Only difference is that the video from ecency is tied to the article but still uploaded and encoded on 3speak (at least as far as I can see) 😃
Ok, that makes sense. Still, the description interface on the 3S app isn't quite as friendly as that of Ecency. Honestly what I've been doing in the past - when I want an embedded video without a standalone counterpart - is writing up the article in Ecency, then copying the text, pasting it into the 3S description block, and then deleting the draft in Ecency...pretty big pain in the ass, comparatively lol so even if it's technically the same result, this sounds way easier to use!
Whew! Took forever to find this comment! I made my first attempt at uploading a video in an Ecency post today. Seems like it was a success, but I haven’t posted it yet - and probably won’t until sometime between Saturday and Monday.
Is it normal for the preview to show a dead link until posted?

The issues you describe are the same I have experienced. I just tried to leave it for a while, and then it suddenly worked as expected. Not sure what cause it.
