M16 rifles or 5.56mm caliber rifles provide weapons with 15 weapons. Colt purchased rights to AR-15 from ArmaLite and currently uses only a semi-automatic version of the R16 M16 rifle. M16 Rifle History

The M16 Riffle was used by the US Army in 1963 in a forest war in South Vietnam, becoming a standard weapon in the United States during the Vietnam War in 1969 and replaced by the M14 rifle.
