Philippine National Police (PNP) chief police officer Gen. Ronald Dela Rosa said that it has a great chance that some of the terrorists from Turkey will enter the country.
The PNP chief reacted to the Turkish ambassador's statement that the terror groups in the country are likely to be in the Philippines, although there is no confirmation of this.
Dela Rosa said today that the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorists will no longer leave the border of Turkey intending to go to Syria and Iraq because it is closed by the Turkish government.
"Most likely because all the jihadists who want to go to Syria and Iraq have no other way to go through Turkey," Dela Rosa said.
Dela Rosa also disclosed that ISISs who did not enter Syria and Iraq were ordered to head to Southern Philippines.
Under the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), they have yet to receive intelligence reports regarding the 30 terrorists from Turkey who allegedly entered the country.
"We first test whether there is a basis to believe in the information and whether it comes from, and if it is justified, we will examine and investigate the location of these alleged groups," Padilla said. (Bomboradyo)
