The story of war and pursuit of war is a sickness we are made to believe we cannot recover from. In 2003 we were told we had to invade Iraq. In 1991 we had been told the same. Iran has been blamed... Libya has been blamed... Syria is now blamed, and these are only to mention the countries in the Middle East which is the favorite imperial playground for the world's empires. Afghanistan, North Korea, China, Russia, Venezuela, Somalia, Panama, Nicaragua... always an enemy somewhere to fill the void.
The poor are blamed, the immigrants, the rebels... those that have little means to revolt, they are deemed the terrorists because they stand up to the powers that be and the status quo. The powers that be have had every means and every tool to make the world a better place when Russia fell apart at the end of the 20th century, when China was in shambles previous to the recent decades... was there ever any plan for peace? Never... only the search for more pretexts, more outsiders, more "others", and more boogeymen to keep alive cold war fears and the looming threat of terrorism paranoia... the alarms, the watches, the levels, the notices, the alerts, which are always feeding the beast of more bombs, missiles, tanks, guns, nuclear weapons, media frenzy, personal surveillance, crisis upon crisis, and the abolition of privacy, liberty, and independent thought.
Never believe that we have to live with war, scarcity, fear, paranoia, might makes right, and guns in everyone's face. War is a lie. Always seek the truth.

Your post almost made me cry! I'm from Venezuela and see when you mention it in the war, along with the other countries, you're completely right! I will talk about my country, it is incredible the number of Venezuelans who have emigrated to escape the war and as many of us have been fighting for peace in the midst of misery, hunger, shortage, because of a war, we were in the middle without being able to do anything , thanking God for these platforms to be able to survive, when most of us want peace! Thanks for your post! We want peace, peace, peace.... not war

It’s so infuriating, when they blame the helpless citizens when they run from their country. You have destroyed their country, rendered their home inhospitable but when they come running for you to help them, you deny it and tell them to go back to their country, where you’ve made a shithole of it.
It’s a systematic genocide.
