According to U.S. Marshals Service offices in South Florida and Connecticut, on Oct. 11, 2017, the then-17-year-old Cooper, nicknamed "Wack," allegedly forced 18-year-old Jeri Kollack to strip naked in the basement of the Greene Homes Apartment Complex in Bridgeport, then shot him seven times.
Connecticut police got a tip Sept. 26 that Cooper might have fled to the West Palm Beach area.
They said the U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force tracked Cooper to the Indian Trace Apartments, on the 1000 block of Indian Trace Circle, near Military Trail and the Beeline Highway in Riviera Beach.
Cooper, who had been staying at an apartment there, was taken into custody without incident as he got out of a vehicle, the Marshals said.
search of the apartment found a handgun and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, along with a New Jersey driver’s license using the alias “Mark White.”
Marshals had posted a reward of up to $2,500 in the case.
