Good to hear you have all your services back after the storm.
I'm getting close to the edge with the Christmas tunes now however I have one more day/night to endure them before we go home to plan our New Years Eve party.
Should be a blast if I can get rid of the stinking cold that has me in its grip.
oooh noooo not a cold !! :'( :'( Probably too late, but when I first start to get sick I start taking 7000 mg of vitamin C a day until the symptoms go away. It usually works unless the cold is too far gone...
I normally do the same with a 1000mg fizzy VitC drink, but I left them at home 😡
I'm driving home today though although I think it's too far gone now 😔

It's a good news that storm has ended. And the city is safe. Nature can attack anytime but good talk is this that there was not too much damage in the city...., I think you were inspecting of the city after the storm. Is your house near to ocean? Ocean is looking amazing. What a scene, there are some huts outside the ocean! You had captured all the images very beautifully.

There was a lot of damage throughout the city, yet we got away without any. We count our blessings indeed! The ocean is right in our backyard, even frozen, it is still very beautiful to be beside <3
That is too bad about the power. We are SO cold here on MA coast. It is only 10 F today! We usually are around 40! The bay is beginning to freeze. When the ocean freezes we know it is cold outside. My chickens haven't been out of their new house and i have a heat lamp plugged in for them so they are all toasty. When I opened the chicken door they peeped out and then thought, "No thanks, We'll stay in here where it is nice and toasty". I hope it warms soon so I can try my 'milk jug' winter planting in January!
Oooh I'm so glad to hear your feathered family is all tucked in and cozy....we are having a colder than normal December...I really hope that means we'll have a warmer than usual January or February, that would be nice! I hope you get thawed enough to try your experiment!!
Me too! I might be starting some indoor seedlings soon, I usually wait until mid January, but this cold has be so wishing on Spring that I think I need the jump start now. And I already have a batch of my quails eggs in the incubator now as well too. Come on and Think SPring! ;)

Thankfully it was not too bad. No trees uprooted like a hurricane going through. It looks like some ice climbed on shore. Were they blown by the wind, or because of low tide? I am glad you guys are safe. <3
Most likely the ice was left there by the tide, though we could imagine it was the wind for dramatic effect!

Carols and tinny canned Christmas music start about the end of July. Then comes all the cheap plastic Christmas tchotchkes. Trees come out in the middle of September. October we are in full swing Christmas mode. Christmas is big business here. Commercialism has gone too far, but that's just my humble opinion.
No wasted time when the power is out. New ways to be creative and have fun. Maybe we all not personally but on a small town basis need to consider different ways to upgrade the infrastructure. Generators, solar, etc.🐓🐓
Yes, may we all, through Steem and other cryptos, be able to afford to free ourselves by building tiny homes, sustainable homes, and go fully clean energy!

Yeah, the chickens are off grid, so they didn't mind the outage lmao!
ha too true....I even like the sound of that off grid. Used to have a really strange concept of that meant. Not now...not since I lived through two horrible storms in Ontario with no power for days one in the winter and one in the summer with all the rain. Also remember 5 days of no power in the summer when the whole city shut down. Off grid is the way to go

I can't say that we have ( Croatia) such a dramatic winters but spring and partially summer can be nasty because of the sudden storms with a lot of lightnings.
