The Nature Is Calling...
Even though I live in the City, we have awesome nature not far from here. I ask you fellow Steemians, to follow me on my most recent walk. It's a rather cold day and we've got an incredible amount of snow these few last days.
And so, the journey begins...
I walked this route almost every day for about a year when I studied to become a construction worker, so even though this route is not new for me, it's definitely new for you.
The first thing I passed by were the allotment gardens, or the allotments, and that's basically a tiny house/shed of some sort with a small garden were people who lives in apartments can relax during the summers and do things they would do if they lived in a house. In Sweden we call them: "kolonilotter" or "Koloniträdgårdar".
After all the allotment gardens, I was heading towards the lake and had to go through a short tunnel. I obviously had to take photos of literally everything, and I did!
Some graffiti in a tunnel...
The Long Way Towards The Lake.
Here comes the quack...
I Continued To Walk By The Lake...
And When I Reached This...
I Started To Walk Back Home Again...
So there you have it. A long walk in Sweden.
I hope you'll enjoy this digital-walk as much as I enjoyed the walk. And in all honesty, you can at least skip the cold, meanwhile I'm still freezing. Thanks to @lyndsaybowes and thanks for sharing all your walks in #walkwithme. I love them and I will continue to support the #walkwithme tag in the future too!
Absolutely beautiful @hitmeasap! You rock! I loved the graffiti, it was so bold and colourful, I guess it doesn't get any weather damage being in the little bridge.
This one was my favourite...I would love to walk under the arch of these trees...
Thank you @lyndsaybowes! I am satisfied with the entire walk and the photos, but I can't say that I find any of this really mind blowing, so I guess you're safe for now. (Regarding the things I said previously. ;)
But I will not give up so easily! I will share something really, really awesome from one of my walks, at some point... The questions are when, how and what... Only time will tell! :)
Just a bit disappointed that it wasn't any sunshine at all this day.
Me too, I really liked this one too!
This is awesome @hitmeasap thank-you! So much for taking me for a walk in Sweden 💙 with you!! It is awesome to see where you live. Looks like it is snowing all over the globe right now. We got lots of snow in Alberta, Canada the past few days too.
It's just so cool how @lindsaybowes creates a great community with these #walkwithme's 💚💛💜
Aside from that, my mother's father is a Swede. It's strongly in my blood! It's cool to feel that through the pictures of the land, water, birds, and trees in your photos. Thanks again buddy!! Looking forward to more walks with you 😊
Hehe, I'm glad you liked it @yogajill. :)
It certainly is. It's really awesome and I'm just a bit sad that I've missed out on them for so long. Better late than never I guess... :)
Wow, that's cool! :)
I'll definitely share more #walkwithme's in the near future. I love it!
how long were you out?
wasn't it too cold?
I don't know... I guess almost 3 hours. Yeah, it was cold, but it was fun and relaxing at the same time, so it was okay actually. :)
Du vet, jag är väldigt ny här on Steemit, det ungefär som du är Spanien när du hör svenska blir du som galen he he.
Det gör det värt att fortsätta, det som vi håller på med! Om du är intresserad så kan du kolla min presentation.
Loved your walkwithme and yes @lyndsaybowes is rocking this tag!
Thank you, and yeah, she does! :)
You're so lucky to be residing near nature. I also love snow and have only experienced it once in one of my travels. That's why countries like yours are in my bucket list. Just a question about the ducks, don't they feel cold? :D sorry for the silly question but I'm really curious :)
I've never been able to ask them that... :P
In all honesty, this is the best answer I can give you:
And that's not my own answer. It's copied directly from google. You can find more information here.
I really appreciate you even researching it for me! :) I should have done that hahaha. I never thought ducks have that "counter-heat exchange system" because I always see them in tropical countries like the PH. And I just feel they always like the heat and swimming in the ponds.
And yeah if you ask them they'll just say "quack quack" and you'd have to guess by their tone :p
Everything looks nice when i see the roads, trees, buildings are all cover in snow. Your picture is so nice. I think you are a good photoshooter
Thank you very much for your comment, I appreciate it. :)
Looks beautiful, I love the snow! What city in Sweden is this? I lived in Gothenburg for a short period of time a long time ago.
Thank you very much! :)
This is in Norrköping, Sweden.
Everything looks so calm covered in snow! Thanks for raking us with you 😃
Yeah, I know. It was a great walk. Very calm and peaceful. :)
Ill bet! 😃
Magnificent article. I really liked it. I was very surprised at the number of photos. Thank you for an amazing walk.
Hehe thank you very much! :)
I think I took like 65 photos in total or something like that, so I obviously couldn't use all of them. But I still wanted to use as many as possible. :D
Loved the grafitti under the tunnel and this idea of "digital-walk". I might give it a go one time.😃
Thank you very much, yeah, it's pretty cool actually. Norrköping, where I live, was rather famous for their coal industry or whatever, because they allowed anyone to paint and/or write graffiti and murals on all of the walls around the industry a couple of years ago. So it was basically legal to do it there, which was pretty cool. Most of that is gone today though, but I've been thinking about going there to see if there's still anything cool that remains.
Well isn't that just nice? I mean it promotes creativity among those living nearby. I'm not so much of an artist but I appreciate well thought of grafittis. We also have one place here in the Philippines where they allow that. It's in Bonifacio Global City. Here are some samples from my instagram.
Those at the center of the collage are the grafittis on the walls of the buildings, they are huge and this was taken in 2015.😅
And just earlier this evening while I was out with a friend in Poblacion Makati, we were also able to spot this one.
Hope to see some of the grafittis in your town as well in one of your walks!😃
Wow, that's cool! And yeah, I agree with you!
I think it should be legal this way, and I love it. I've never been a superb graffiti artist myself, even though I spent a decent amount of time learning...
These are pictures from the legal walls we had in Norrköping a few years ago. None of these photos are mine though.
I'll definitely take a look some day in the near future, and find out if there's still something there we can enjoy. :)
Thanks for sharing!
Ah they are all awesome and it's alright if they are not your photos, thank you still for sharing!
It makes me a little sad now that most of those grafittis are gone. They should have been preserved!😅
I hope you still find some other worthwhile grafittis when get the chance and Im looking forward to it!😄
That graffiti is the bomb. I have this place in my town called freak ally. They have some amazing graffiti there.
That's awesome. Really cool! :)
@braxton101 this is so cute!!!😍
I think if there one thing common among all "nations"/communities is the presence of street art and
It's just so wonderful!😅
Really love seeing one because for me, it's a sign that the community is alive as it brings out the creativity in the people living there.
Quite an interesting walk indeed. I don't really know places where I live where there is a nature walk right by the city.
So much snow! I haven't seen it this year...
Was very nice to join in your walk :)
Hehe yeah, we've got all of it these last 2 or 3 days.. It's been insane. :D
I love those ducks. I thought that only happened in movies. beautiful photos, I invite you to cononcer my wolf in my last post. Greetings from Venezuela
