Ingredients

🍞 1 Whole Wheat Bread Roll, round, light brown
🥯 1 Salt Bread Roll, round, almost white
🥬 Fresh Green Lettuce Leaves, shredded
🌶️ 1/4 Red Sweet Pepper, thinly sliced
🍅 1 Medium Tomato, sliced
🥒 1/2 Cucumber, sliced, pickled in vinegar, pepper, and salt
🧀 3 Slices of Yellow Cheese, cheddar or American style
🍯 Homemade Mustard/Mayonnaise Sauce
🍅 Ketchup
🌶️ Pepper, in pickled cucumber and sauce
Instructions
1- Prepare Bread Rolls:
- Place the whole wheat and salt bread rolls on a rectangular wooden cutting board.
- Slice each roll horizontally using a serrated knife to create top and bottom halves.
2- Assemble the Ham Cutters:
Whole Wheat Sandwich with Lettuce:
- Lay a bed of shredded lettuce on the bottom half of the whole wheat bread.
- Generously arrange slices of baked ham on top of the lettuce.
- Add three slices of pickled cucumber, then top with tomato slices and red sweet pepper.
- Finish with a generous squirt of homemade mayonnaise/mustard sauce.
Salt Bread Sandwich (without lettuce):
- Directly on the bottom half of the salt bread, layer the baked ham slices.
- Add a generous drizzle of the homemade mayonnaise/mustard sauce.
Whole Wheat Sandwich with Cheese:
- Begin with a layer of shredded lettuce on the bottom half of the whole wheat bread.
- Add slices of baked ham, followed by cheese slices.
- Draw a “M” pattern with ketchup across the cheese.
3- Complete the Assembly:
- Carefully place the top half of each bread roll on the stacked ingredients to form robust sandwiches.
