Rene's Bi-Weekly Follow-Up

in #waiviolast year

Every time our daughter and Rene has to wake up before dawn to drive to the opthalmologist specialist hospital, I always have trouble sleeping the night before.

Prayer is always in our minds because jamming through morning traffic is not easy, especially if our daughter has a late night of work the day before.

But despite of all the worries, we are still grateful with thanksgiving to God, because HE provides.

Imagine if we have no general hospitals to go to, and every visit is to a privatised hospital, it costs us $50 USD a trip. That is not cheap because Rene has a lot of medical history, which was due to self-medication with lack of proper due diligence, listening to the wrong marketing from pharmasists who wants nothing but profit.

Rene has survived for 17 years since her last Steven Johnson Syndrome episode. If she didn't survive that day, she could have been gone for 17 years. She would have lost her opportunity to spend time with hergrandchildren, and seeing them growing up until she is now the shortest in the family.

Rene's most recent hospitalisation, taken with her good friend who came to visit

Jesus gave her additional days to meet new friends outside her restricted rat-racing life in our hometown, working day and night for the family, that gave her bravery even though she stays alone during hospitalisation due to health restrictions and our daughter still needed to work.

What more can we ask?

Only to share our thanksgiving thoughts to you that each day when we are still given breath to experience this earth, we get to still experience new things, and be a supportive role to our children and grandchildren when needed.

We do not know how long more we can still be here, but everyday, is a bonus for us to reach the finishing line.

Best thoughts from us to you

Philip and Rene

Thank God there's provision. $50 a trip is very costly
