Review: Mumbai Local Restaurant, Chaat Sampler

Here you will be amazed as soon as you enter: full of Indian customers, already a pleasant surprise, followed by a beautiful menu, not 4 pages or more but whose charming menu hold on a small page ... no fuss, no snobbery, very simple with the welcoming smile of the lovely Indian hostess who took great care of us.
The Indian cuisine here is transformed, revisited, improved, with a touch of contemporary cooking, in the recipe but also in its decoration...
Don't go there for a simple masala dosa ...you can find that at Davie Dosa Company where they are excellent....

For the starters we ordered Chaat Sampler, all the small puri (a delicate, flavourful puffed rice mise en bouche), various small crackers spheres that are filled with chickpeas, tamarind and date chutney.

A wonderful sablefish curry that I absolutely did not expect, and to have it cooked to perfection... served with a kokum, red chili, coconut, cherry tomatoes, Ghavan

A fantastic KOMBADI VADE, with chicken which was sous vide cooked, very well seasoned and delicious with its caramelized onions and coconut...

of course all the bread: chapati, GhavanVade, Papadam, rice ....

you have everything, as well as the charming smile of your waitress and the explanations given on each dish ordered with her advice.
