Book review: “Health at every size” by Linda Bacon

It amazing book and I can even say one of the most important book to read. In fact, basic book for life.

Surprisingly, this book I have never seen this in recommendation lists, as top 100 books to read, etc. And that is a shame because the information in this book is valuable and opens your eyes to new stuff and lies that we live in.

And now I'll tell you why.

In our modern life and society, we have a lot of moments that we are familiar with from childhood and stereotypes that we grow up with. For instance:

  • You must be thin;

  • You will die early if you have additional weight;

  • You won’t find a partner if you have additional weight.

Other.

But in reality, and it is what about this book, this is no matter what size you are. Important - respect, accept and take care of yourself (mentally and physically).

Many corporations and businesses make money from these stereotypes and the "common truth". So the more miserable and unhappy people are, the more money people will spend: on antidepressants, surgeries, junk, supplements, and more.

Billions of business turnover in fact built on the misfortune, and oppression of each individual.

This book shows real research, real results that are not tailored to specific business requirements but reflect reality.

Incredible truth that a person with additional weight can live even longer than a thin person.

Interesting, don’t you think?)

A good lesson from the book is that it is very important to find real and correct research, independent of sponsors and businesses.

You know that diets are actually very bad for your body (no matter which).

Or you know that when we failed to implement some program or diet, we always think that we are a problem, but that is not true. This system, plan, or program is the problem that it just doesn't work.

The book shows the HAES (Health at every size) program with rules, manifest, routines, and exercises that help people to accept themselves and build a healthy way of living life. This program builds a way to understand and feel your needs, and your body.

Until this book, I never thought that the real impact of our society, environment, and culture is so dramatic and traumatic for us, for our mental and physical health.

And in order to maintain your health, you need to respect yourself, take care, be careful about trends and popular programs, and this book shows the truth and teaches this.

Highly recommended “Health at every size” by Linda Bacon :)

Everything is related to everything .

Just because someone is fat doesn't mean they don't have exercise, and just because someone is thin doesn't mean they have a lot of exercise .

As I read the greatest evil is the lack of movement
