I never said posh is a scam, but it has some very serious problems.
One of them is that it is funded with the reward pool. You can easily trace posh payments and see where it comes from. The question is: Can we fund projects with the reward pool? If I do the same to fund my own project, it will be ok?
You sure are being quite aggro about things in unrelated posts.
It might be okay if it benefits all stakeholders alike, which posh does. It benefits your own stake as well if we get more traffic and users to our ecosystem. If you wanna fund a project that only benefits yourself and a few people then no, don't use the rewards pool.
Maybe. I wish I had all the answers. I am not sure how it started matters unless it will help us diagnose a solution.
If we do not think something should be curated, there needs to be a good reason.
Is the reward pool strictly for authors or are we open to more use cases? I don't know. I think we all should have a bigger conversation about. It is hard to understand what are the kind of users we want to onboard and why.
I think this is an interesting question and I do hope we can figure out what the answer is. Maybe we won't? But it is worth trying to UNDERSTAND more people's perspective in my opinion.
I just replied to a user that said that spendhbd was exploiting the reward pool. But this same user made more the 20k Hive in the last 12mo from Posh, by using a shady account that spams AI spun articles.
He probably makes more then 99% of authors on Hive.
And it all comes from the reward pool! But what he does is not exploiting the reward pool?
Wow he's made hive in a whole year by bringing tens of thousands of views to our front-ends that are largely unknown on the internet, what a fucking crime. Vs random author no one knows even on hive making the same amount.
We already stopped those due to a few users saying it's a bad look for hive, even though they were bringing in real views and a lot of them, so it wasn't exploitative.
Yea hopefully someone can share what you are referring to with me. I will ask around and see if I can get info outside of you posting it here unless you want to post it here that is fine with me to.
I will take this seriously and try to come up with a reasonable plan of action on how to deal with these things. I can't promise anything but I will look into this.
I don't think posh does things via WhatsApp chats nor deceives the community with false onboards and results, it's all visible, if you don't agree you can downvote it 🤷
Are you having a mental breakdown? We don't just reward shares of AI spun articles, we have even gone way and beyond to respect the opinions of jealous cunts like yourself to avoid doing so which brought down our traffic generation by a lot.
"Omg what will outsiders think if there's some AI articles on hive" when outsiders never get to find out about hive cause of selfrighteous morons as yourself being all hivewatcher over the smallest things.
You can't have a perfect system anywhere. You continuing to be nitpicky about some flaws in one system that generally brings a ton of traffic to our front-ends is starting to sound like you have ulterior motives. So what is it? Jealousy? You keep comparing how much one of our top sharers has earned on hive over the years. You can't bother to learn how to reddit for a few hours?
Seriously, what the fuck is your problem at this point? Do you want Hive not to have a fucking chance to get some traffic from the outside world?
My point is you can have as many AI tools around, but if you don’t know your subject matter, you aren’t going to last on Reddit. AI is a tool and not a replacement, and most amazing writers are using it. I was out there for two weeks checking around other platforms, and what I saw confirmed that.
Stop trying to limit Hive from being known. The person might be spinning articles, but he is knowledgeable about what he is dealing with. Would you be comfortable sharing an article you don’t know about?
I think the best thing to do, as you are very confused obviously, is to join us and try sharing. As it isn’t just about sharing, it is about equipping yourself with knowledge about the article. Shall I tell you, it is nerve-wracking, so I take my hat off to the ones courageous enough to share, and yes, they deserve that reward.
So stop trying to put a stop to people who are working hard and putting down HivePosh. HivePosh is a good initiative, and it will always be a good initiative. Stop trying to break it; make a good suggestion or offer a hand on how to improve rather than complain.
btw, posts saying millions of views are deceiving too!! since the views on hive is just in the hundreds.
just like LEO brought 10k new users!! one can say what they want for others to believe
You can see them on peakd and ecency. I'm getting a bit tired having to defend the only project bringing in real views to our front-ends and your endless crying. Either downvote what you disagree with or shut the fuck up.
We are obviously not rewarding the shares for the millions of views they're getting on Reddit. Do you know how much that'd cost to actually bring in millions of views to our front-ends? It'd be sure a lot more than the $400 we give out each week to sharers.
You're either very badly informed or purposely trying to infuriate people to compare posh to leo, if that's the case you should really take a step back and fuck yourself.
Posh is not systematically offloading HIVE at our expense.
If it is. Please prove it.
Every time someone mentions posh when there is a scam, the conversation stops being serious.
Lots of things are funded through the reward pool that are “wrong” but not inherently immoral.
Perpetuating scams via the reward pool is immoral. Even if it can never fully be stopped, it doesn’t matter.
We should all have a conversation about posh in a serious way but in my mind it needs its own bucket.
Sorry I’m intense about this! I think I’m just having a moment!
Hope things are going well on your end!
All good here! We all have our moments! 😉

If you have an insane amount of HIVE and you play your cards right, maybe?
Am I a bad user for upvoting comments that support the HBD stabilizer?
So whats the problem with spendhbd? It's where it all started right?
Maybe. I wish I had all the answers. I am not sure how it started matters unless it will help us diagnose a solution.

Thank you!
Maybe that's the real issue, one is being curated, the other isn't from what I can tell.
I don't think posh does things via WhatsApp chats nor deceives the community with false onboards and results, it's all visible, if you don't agree you can downvote it 🤷
they just use self voting comments to pay you over 2000 Hive per month to spam AI spun articles on chain.
beautiful!!

Views!=onboarded accounts, no one claims onboards ... Again, downvote the comments if you think it's not fine, or make a post like OP 🤷
you claim hundreds of thousands of views
reality = just a few views
community being deceived the same way
That's not the reality, there's proof of many posts reaching 10,000-25,000 views on our front-ends that track views. Maybe stop lying?
The views are on reddit posts and are recorded by reddit, it's not like we Photoshop screenshots 🤣 whatever you are right man, keep your win
the posts with titles saying millions of views are extremely deceiving, as it makes the community think the views are on Hive, not on reddit
I don't give a shit about views on reddit, you guys should show the real numbers, the views on Hive. Ohh but that wouldn't look so good right?? 🤷♂
You can see them on peakd and ecency. I'm getting a bit tired having to defend the only project bringing in real views to our front-ends and your endless crying. Either downvote what you disagree with or shut the fuck up.
when it's about you exploiting the reward pool, you just shrug 🤷♂, right?
