This is majorly for the people who think that once you get something, it will stay forever.
i can tell a story of three men who lived in a village.
one day they ran out of food and couldnt get anything from hunting either, so they decided to move to the bush and look for plants that could be used as food. God was good that they found an old man who felt pitty for them and took them to a place with three jack fruit trees with a lot of jack fruit.
Each man ran towards one tree and declared it to be his, the trees had jack fruit starting from the lower stem where someone could pick without climbing.
they all started by picking the nearest because of the hunger, it took them 10 days and all the jack fruit on the lower stem was done. None of the men knew how to climb a tree so they could not get the higher jack fruit. So at this moment they went back to the old man to seek for advise, but he only told them to be careful while climbing the tress because his son fell and died from one of the trees.
one of the men decided to move on and look for more jack fruit trees, which had fruits on the lower stem.
The second man decided to cut down his tree and pick the jack fruit easily.
And the third man decided to learn how to climb a tree.
the one who cut the tree got what to eat faster but he could not keep the fruits fresh for a longtime so within a short period of time he had no fruit left. so he then cut the other tree of the friend who moved on but it also dint last for long.
The man who decided to learn how to climb a tree spent some time without food because he had to perfect tree climbing before going for the jack fruit tree. he later had plenty of fruit and it lasted forever because the tree would bear fruit every season.
The man who decided to move on later came back saying he had found nothing and hoping that his tree was still in place and he was ready to learn how to climb, but unfortunately the tree had been cut by his friend.
what do you learn from this
+sometimes even when you dont have the ability to utilise something, you should stay and protect it because you never know when you will need it.
The bigger lesson in this story is coming out in my next post, where i will be writing about how you can take on opportunities.
thank you for supporting me on this plattform.
Nice story
