Manual curation is good for the tribe, can bring significant curation rewards (if you regularly power up your tokens), but it also has one serious drawback - it is very time-consuming. Besides that, you have constant stress to care, that your voting power should not IDLE at 100%. Because if you allow this to happen - you are simply loosing your potential curation rewards. For the maximalists like myself, this can be very, very stressful. To avoid this stress, you get sucked-in in a never ending "7-day working week" routine.
But there is a simple solution. You can follow somebody on a curation trail. Sure, there is a wide selection of whom you can follow. But not all trails are equal, and not all give you the same advantages or privileges.

Here are some advantages to those, who will select my VYB account @onealfa.vyb as your curation trail
- I do almost 100% manual curation with this dedicated VYB account. Upvotes from it have low probability to land onto a low value shitposts or plagiation posts.
- This account is used to curate only posts in the "VYB space" - you have low chance to waste your upvotes on posts without this VYB TAG. Hence - not wasting your RC and/or voting power without VYB rewards.
- The followers on my trail, which hold significant effective stake (stake+incoming delegations SUM = or above 500 VYB power) may get my supporting VYB delegation back from me, to make your votes even stronger, and curation rewards bigger. This VYB delegation will be honored only to these followers, who make their "vote weight" percentage 50% or more, see step "7B" down below.
- My delegation size will equal 5% from your combined "stake+incoming delegations SUM". Example: If you hold 3000 VYB stake and 2000 VYB incoming delegation power, you will get (3000+2000)*0.05 = 250 VYB delegation from me.
- I do not ask any returns, payments, votes nor whatever else back, for my delegated VYB's (as in the situations described above).
- The 5% level for supporting delegations is not burned in stone. It may change, depending on how much success this project will receive
How to get on the voting trail
(for those who never did that before)
1 . Go to site hive.vote. Click on button "LOGIN/REGISTER"
2 . The HiveSigner window will open. Enter your loging acct and password (2A), or "add another account" (2B), if you are new to HiveSigner
3 . Once you get logged in the HIVE.VOTE site, click on DASHBOARD (3A), modify settings (3B), and click CURATION TRAIL (3C). I recommend setting your MANA THRESHOLD to 80% or less
4 . In the new window find SEARCH section, enter my acct onealfa.vyb and hit SEARCH
5 . Once trail is found, hit FOLLOW
6 . Click on SETTINGS
7 . Here if you like, you can enable comment voting (7A), time to wait (7C) and voting weight (7B). The latter is that important parameter, which will enable you to get my supporting delegation, as described above. Hit SAVE SETTINGS (7D)
8 . DONE. Find more trails if you like, or browse for more features on this hive.vote site.

I have 410 VYB Power, but it's better off doing some work than just laying around doing more or less nothing. This was an easy decision to make.

Your proposal is very attractive, especially since I can't manage to do curation in POB and VYB. My problem is that I can't participate with 100% in curation for VYB because it would quickly consume my power in Hive. I'm thinking I have a forgotten account made for APPICS, @moonappics. Since I don't know about Appics anything, can I delegate My POB and VYB to @moonappics and participate in your trail with this account?
P.S. Unfortunately, I can't delegate VYB to @moonappic. This option does not appear in my wallet.

I dont see any reason why you could not do that with your old @moonappics account. BTW, beware APPICS is reviving, it seems is not dead, if you got APX tokens, just hold them.
Or you can easily create a new dedicated acct, smth like bluemoon.vyb

Go to HIVETASKS.COM acct creation section, choose new acct name you like to have (step-4), hit GENERATE (6) then (very important!) write down that long MASTER-PASSWORD, (and never never disclose it to anyone!) , copy and send all 4 PUBLIC KEYS (7) to me, by discord, email, twitter, FB etc, and I will create the new named acct for you. Believe me, this method is absolutely safe. Anyone will confirm that

While I love the idea of generating curation rewards for my unused VYB, I do most of my own manual curation on other tribes like LEO and OneUp, plus I use my HP as well. I just want to make sure I'm not cutting into that voting by following you here.

It's pretty simple once you understand all the delegation process, the alt accounts to maximize curation etc, but when you're a newbie I can understand some people get lost easily.
